Fun Facts
We understand time-constraints around mid-terms (and the stress that comes with that!).
Jen Sills, ARNP

“The variety of healthcare needs we see, the diverse population, and the fact that many of our students are navigating the healthcare system for the first time by themselves gives us a unique opportunity to guide and educate them in making healthy decisions.”
Jen Sills, ARNP, is originally from Marshalltown, Iowa, just east of Ames. She appreciates having the time to incorporate and focus on the latest research and evidence based medicine in her practice here at Thielen Student Health Center.
During her time in the private sector, she practiced in several specialties including Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Dermatology, Orthopedic Spine Surgery, Hospice & Palliative Care and Urgent Care. Jen enjoys having the luxury of more time with her patients because she can be more thorough in exams and spend time educating them about their unique healthcare needs as well as getting to know them as a person.
Jen and her husband, an Iowa State graduate, have three sons. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming and traveling.
