Cosette Scallon, MD

I enjoy being “on the journey” with college students. Talking with them about their passions and dreams. Helping them to become confident as they learn to manage their own health and become productive and creative young adults has kept me excited about student health.”

Cosette Scallon, MD

Cosette Scallon, MD, is originally from Conrad, Iowa.  Dr. Scallon knew she enjoyed working with young adults and wanted to be  part of the Iowa State experience early on.

Following her residency in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Dr. Scallon returned to Iowa to start her career at Thielen Student Health Center. She likes to educate and help students navigate college and become informed, independent medical consumers.

In her free time, Dr. Scallon enjoys traveling, especially exploring new places and hiking. Her philanthropic spirit has led her to work at medical clinics in Honduras and Tanzania. Dr. Scallon likes being with family and friends and becomes very competitive playing board games with them. In addition to her husband and three sons, she also has two crazy boxer dogs.
