Amy Navrkal, ARNP
“I enjoy working with students and equipping them to manage health care problems and achieve a healthy lifestyle.”
Amy Navrkal, ARNP, grew up in central Iowa. Amy wanted to come to Iowa State and work with the student population since most students are learning to navigate the health care system on their own for the first time. She enjoys having the time to educate and empower them to be knowledgeable about their own health.
As a former Iowa State student, Amy draws on her own experiences as a student when treating her patients. This is a unique time in their life and she wants to do whatever she can to help them stay healthy so they can be successful here.
Prior to coming to Thielen Student Health Center, Amy was a flight nurse.
Amy and her husband have two boys. She enjoys biking, boating and basically any activity they can spend time as a family outdoors.
