Where to Find Us

The physical therapy and sports medicine department is located on the second floor of Student Health. Just take the stairs or elevator to the second floor, and we’re the first department you’ll see.

Insurance

Physical therapy and sports medicine is available to persons of all ages. Health insurance varies drastically in regards to whether a patient needs a provider referral to go to physical therapy. Health insurance not only differs by insurance carrier, but also by plan. We highly encourage students to check with their insurance provider ahead of time to ensure they will cover any charges for the visit to physical therapy.

If you have coverage through the Students & Scholars Insurance Program, SSHIP, you do not need a referral to make an appointment.

Staff

The physical therapy and sports medicine staff have years of experience in treating a variety of conditions. We have a wide array of rehabilitative techniques to help regain full physical and performance function.

Each member of the physical therapy and sports medicine team is licensed in the State of Iowa, and includes Jim Nespor, Dabney Larson-Hargrafen, Crystal Savage and Brent Bowser. Jill Jensen will greet you at the front desk.
